The Liquidity Event
Exit strategies and poor decisions.
Filed by Dry Powder Editorial Desk — August 1, 2026 — Character: Liquidity Larry

One night. Questionable networking. Excellent glassware. Everyone claims they were early.
The evening begins politely. Name tags are declined. Business cards are produced with the reluctance of a man revealing a second family.
“The room was illiquid until the second round of introductions.”
By the second round of introductions, the room finds its price. Someone describes a process. Someone else describes the same process, differently. A third man listens carefully and tells everyone later that he passed.
The glassware is excellent. The networking is questionable. The outcome, as always, is remembered generously.
Not financial advice. Just expensive opinions.
